Collingwood Public Library and Administration Bldg

The 96,000 volume library is designed to blend into the rich Collingwood heritage downtown district of historic Victorian buildings with cornice, arched windows and brick shadow line details. The interior is of contemporary design featuring an atrium and Art Street for art display. The building will be the first LEED GOLD library in the province. A green roof and ground source heat pump are the most prominent green features of the design. We assisted the Library in numerous public Open Houses, presentations to Council and donor groups. We also provided interior design services and furniture selection. The third floor of the building is comprised of community meeting rooms and administration offices for the Town of Collingwood. The $8.5 million project is 32,000 sf and completed in 2012.
