Starting out as a feasibility study in 1999, Principals of WGD worked with the City of Niagara Falls to develop the program and feasibility study for a 250,000 s.f. convention centre facility which would include for a 100,000 s.f. main convention hall. Subsequent to the feasibility study being complete, three level government funding was approved for the facility in 2008. WGD subsequently was part of a design build team bidding on the full design and construction. The project was completed to the end of concept design. The project capital cost was $125 million.
